What size is the font on the sign?

The size of the text will depend on your font and size choices. The printed sign will be exactly proportional to your sign design proof that you will be able to view prior to placing your order. For example, if your sign is 6″ high and your lettering occupies about 2/3 of the height, then your lettering is about 4″ tall. Lettering typically occupies ½ – 2/3 of the sign.

How far away will someone be able to read the letters on my signs?

The size can be determined by our handy Letter Size Chart.

How durable are the signs?

Our ink is UV resistant for up to 3 years.
Our vinyl material is outdoor durable for 3-5 years relative to sun and elements.
For severe climate conditions, we suggest using aluminum.

May I choose the type of material my design is printed on?

Sure. Just check the appropriate box for your choice of material. If you are unsure of what different materials are used for, CLICK HERE. Currently, we offer signs in the following materials: banner, aluminum, corrugated plastic, art board, magnetic, decal, bumper sticker and vinyl for lettering.

What colors do you have available?

The colors that we offer are: white, gray, black, navy, blue, teal, green, yellow, brick, khaki, red, sky blue, orange and purple and more. You’ll see all the colors on the color palette when you click on the Color Box when designing your sign.
Note: Millions of additional colors are available for your own uploaded images.

Will the printed product look exactly like the design proof displayed on my monitor?

Due to different monitor calibrations, some printed colors may not always match the colors displayed on your computer monitor.

Does my sign order come with wire stakes or other sign holders?

Posts, frames and stakes may be added to the shopping cart separately and can be found in the ‘Sign Accessories’ section on www.lynchsign.com. All posts, frames and stakes are shipped separately and are not automatically included in the order.

Do the signs come with holes so I can hang them or attach them? If not, will you drill holes for me?

All of our custom signs and aluminum signs come with four corner holes and all of our banners come with grommets (brass rings used for hanging the banner). If you do not want holes in each of the corners or grommets, please make a special notation on the order.

How do I know that you received my order?

To check the status of your order online, please visit The Lynchsign order status page at customer support. Enter your confirmation number and email address in the space provided

What if I didn’t receive my order confirmation?

If you haven’t received your order confirmation email, please check your junk email folder or spam filter.

May I make a correction to my order after it has been submitted?

Since most orders are transmitted to our production staff immediately upon submission, it is generally impossible to make corrections or changes to the design submitted for printing. If you have just placed your order, and want to check if changing is possible, please contact Lynch Sign Customer Service immediately at helpdesk@lynchsign.com.

Customizing Your Sign

What kind of image should I use for a photograph?

If you’re using a photograph or image, then you should use a good resolution JPG image. Try to find the highest quality image with a file size less than 10 Megabytes (10 MB).

What kind of image should I use for a logo or clipart?

For best results, use a logo or image created as ‘vector art’ and saved as an EPS file. Logos in vector format are scalable to any size. Vector type will print clear & crisp. Try to find the highest quality image with a file size less than 10 Megabytes (10 Mb). For information about vector art: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vector_art.

How can I tell if my image is good?

One way to see the quality of your image is to open it in an image viewer (if you don’t have one of these, you can use the free Lynchsign Online Design Tool). Zoom in on the sign design Proof and see if the image is very grainy. This is a good indication of a poor quality image that should NOT be used. In general, it is good practice to find the highest quality image you can.

How do you decide the ‘recommended size’ for my image, and the ‘viewable distance’?

These calculations are based on the resolution (dots per inch, or DPI) of the image you provide. Uploading a higher resolution image means a larger image will look better at a closer distance. It is your responsibility to be certain that the image you provide looks good to start with, as the only factor used when calculating the recommended physical size is the actual resolution (DPI) of the image you chose to feature on your sign is between 150 dpi and 300 dpi.

How do I save my Signs?

What is your turnaround time?

We can get you your signs as soon as a few business days, and we let you choose how quickly you want your signs when you’re checking out. Your choices for delivery times will usually range from 2 to 15 days, but will vary based on the size of your order, what you ordered, and where you are located.
For example, with a typical order you would see the following options on the last page of your checkout with the cost of each based on the size of your date and requested delivery date (please note all choices are in business days).

Standard 10-12 days
Economy 10-14 days

Is there any way to put a rush on my order?

You can place a rush on your order by expediting it.

My product contains a defect or is damaged, what can be done?

If the product is damaged and / or contains manufacturing defects when you receive your order, please contact customer support at helpdesk@lynchsign.com.

Do you offer any discounts?

We offer discounts based on the volume of signs ordered at one time. Discounts are computed automatically and will be displayed in your order total at checkout. Please enter the discount code that applies to your order quantity. We do offer special discounts for very large quantities ordered. Please email a Lynch Sign customer service representative to inquire about special discount rates at helpdesk@lynchsign.com.

How do you determine pricing for sign orders?

Prices are based on the size of the sign, material selected and the quantity ordered. There is no additional charge for using your own art with millions of colors.
You can check pricing using the pricing chart. Price breaks are only available for signs that are exactly the same.

What is your product guarantee?

Our 90 day guarantee warrants that products do not contain manufacturing defects. If the product fails or breaks due to a manufacturing defect during the 90 day time period, we will either replace the product or issue you a refund / credit equal to the value of the failed product. LynchSign.com reserves the right to investigate the claim and determine whether or not the failed product is covered by our guarantee.
